Untangling the State of the Dead

I am unable to make it to church today, so I am enjoying some FAF podcasts. Currently, I am listening to Colleen and Nikki explain the Adventist fundamental belief on the nature of man. Nikki made a statement that she would share a list of texts related to the human spirit, I believe from both the New and Old Testaments, if I sent an email requesting such. Could I get that list please?  Also, not to be greedy, but if you have a Scripture by Scripture study showing the true understanding of death and the soul, I would love to have that. I am embarking on a new Bible-marking plan. I would love to fill in the blanks with the Scriptures that I already have compiled.

Excited To Study Acts

I just read Nikki’s article in Proclamation! and am excited about her new study of Acts. Is this something that will be included weekly in the Proclamation! email? Or do I need to sign up somewhere?

Need Help With Investigative Judgment

Can you please get a message to Dale Ratzlaff for me? I would like to request a copy of his wife’s list of research from the Bible on the Investigative Judgment. I am not a Seventh-day Adventist but was raised a Baptist. I would very much appreciate direct references for review as I have a person that is very dear to me who is a Seventh-day Adventist to whom I would very much like to minister, God willing. 

I am longing to gain knowledge of the Adventist Church and how I can best minister/witness to a person that I love dearly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Response: Thank you for writing! Unfortunately, Dale passed away a year and a half ago. The good news, though, is that we have his books available online for free. Currently we are uploading one chapter per week from his book Cultic Doctrine of Seventh-day Adventists in which he tells the history of the formation of the investigative judgment doctrine and explains why it is false.
