Reaction to Podcast “A False Prophet? Ellen G. White”
That’s not what Adventists believe in. Ellen G. White never mentioned herself to be a prophet, and Adventists have never used her writings as equal to or above the Scriptures. Please do not mislead the people. And be careful of your criticisms. There is no other denomination like the Seventh-day Adventists. May the Lord open your spiritual eyes to what His true church is.

Response from Jim Liley, online moderator: Regarding this statement: “Adventists have never used her writings as equal to or above the Scriptures”:
NOTICE The SDA organization has stated that E.G.White’s writings should be used to correct wrong interpretations of Scriptures. This elevates her understanding of the Scriptures to be the gold standard for its interpretation.
The SDA Church made this statement in their Ministry magazine of October, 1981, and has never retracted it (that I have found):
“We believe the revelation and inspiration of both the Bible and Ellen White’s writings to be of equal quality. The superintendence of the Holy Spirit was just as careful and thorough in one case as in the other.”
Ellen White herself said:
“Those who RESIST the messages of God through his humble servant, think they are at variance with sister White, because her ideas are not in harmony with theirs; but THIS VARIANCE IS NOT WITH SISTER WHITE, BUT WITH THE LORD, who had given her work to do.” —Review & Herald, Aug. 26, 1890, Par. 5.
Here are two more official statements:
“We reaffirm our conviction that her writings are divinely inspired, truly Christ-centered, and Bible-based. Rather than replacing the Bible, they uplift the normative character of Scripture and CORRECT INACCURATE INTERPRETATIONS of IT derived from tradition, human reason, personal experience, and modern culture.”—Statement of Confidence in the Writings of Ellen G White – Official Statements July 7, 2015.
“The Adventist understanding of sin, its origin, and how God chose to deal with it, is best set forth in the writings of Ellen G. White.”—John M. Fowler, Handbook of Seventh-day Adventist Theology (2000), pg. 265

(Reactions to Adventism’s Great Controversy Interprets the Bible)
I’ve never seen the Great Controversy elevated above the Bible, so you are making a falsehood. What is your real problem?

Wasn’t Satan the one decked out with jewels? And didn’t he fall because of HIS thoughts of his own beauty?
Makeup is for clowns! Wigs are fake! And so are you!
You are deceived!

Response from Jim Liley, online moderator: Just another example that those in the SDA counterfeit pseudo-Christian CULTIC organization are blessed with the ability to give such prideful, arrogant and ad-hominem responses? Frankly, I think it’s fear that they may have been deceived and don’t have any legitimate response to what is being presented.
Sister Colleen, never stop teaching the truth of Jesus Christ vs the lies of men. Whenever you speak the truth, there will be name-calling because truth hurts.
