Born Again—But What About Hell?

Wow—my brother and I have so much to process and digest coming out of Adventism; it’s unreal. It’s traumatizing. I was EGW’s biggest fan. I was a radical conservative Adventist, but over the last five years I have “loosened up”. I believe that loosening has been the Holy Spirit already working on me, but I NEVER thought I would ever leave Adventism. On 14 February, 2026, I believed the gospel for the very first time. Now I feel like a baby Christian again after having read and studied the Bible almost six times front to back with Ellen White/SDA interpretation. Now I have to study it all again from scratch. I feel deeply betrayed, sad, and at times, defeated.

But I am also happy and thankful that now I can finally be free to serve a God who really loves me unconditionally.

The only real doubt I have is hell. I cannot imagine that same LOVING God being fine about having billions of people being in torment forever; I can’t believe that.

Response: The issue of hell will become more and more clear as you study the Bible and learn who God is and who we are. Adam’s sin put all of us into a state of being condemned; as Jesus said, those who have not believed are condemned already (Jn. 3:18). We are born spiritually dead; without God’s life in us. That condition IS death, and the spiritually dead who never come to faith in Christ will remain dead for eternity.

Our sin is against a sovereign, eternal God; it is not merely small deeds we do over a lifetime. Our sins flow from our spiritual death which is our state of condemnation before God. When we trust Jesus and the gospel of our salvation, we pass from death to life (Jn. 5:24), and our dead spirits come to life. God’s life brings us to life, and His Spirit indwells us personally. We still have sinful flesh, but the Lord Himself teaches us to honor Him and to say NO to temptation. Our spirits with God’s life in them, though, do not fall out of salvation when we sin. We learn to trust God more and more as we learn to walk by faith just as we believed by faith in Him.

The issue of hell isn’t about how may bad deeds we did; it is about whether or not we are ALIVE through faith in Jesus’ finished work. Did our works flow from new spiritual life, or did they flow out of our naturally dead spirits? Eternal life is about being born again, not about getting our law-keeping figured out. When we have Christ’s resurrection life in us, we have new desires and new power, new potential, new LIFE.

I have a suggestion: get a notebook and begin copying the book of John into the notebook. Ask God to teach you what He wants you to know, and believe that the words mean what the words say.

Is Truth Triumphant Adventist?

Hello. Have you heard of the book Truth Triumphan? Can you enlighten me as to whether it is based on truth? Or is it more Adventist propaganda?

I don’t know if it’s just my Adventist family or if the church is really evangelizing hard right now.  I feel like I’m back in the time I was coming out of Adventism and having to research everything all over again.

Response: Truth Triumphant is a thoroughly historic Adventist book series. It’s published Truth Triumphant, a private, independent organization that holds to the original Adventist “mission”. It will be simply a retelling of EGWs contaminated history and prophetic pronouncements.

Adventists hide in plain sight, deceiving people by refusing to identify themselves as Adventists and by using independent publishers to disseminate their works so the public will not as easily discover that they’re Adventists because they aren’t using the official publishing houses.

I’m glad you asked. This book series is deception. †
