Pushback on “Discussing Adventist Doctrine with Guest Richard Tinker

There are over 22 million Adventists, and only 1.2 million in the USA, and you are judging all based on the very few you’ve dealt with. Many don’t do as you claim. I believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ The Son of God, and the Spirit of God through Christ in Us as our guide and comforter. Divine and Eternal. No one will be saved by the merits of the Law, only through being faithful to Jesus Christ. Believe He was here is the flesh, died for our sins, and rose from the grave, now at the right hand of The Father God as our Advocate if we do sin. This is the gospel. Period.  The Sabbath “rest” is a blessing to me, as is my daily time I spend with my Lord and His Word. The Bible and the Bible only. Diet, clothing, tithe, and free will offerings—and the rest the Spirit will convict you as to what is required of you or is not required. Freedom in Christ is just that. There is no judgement for those who are in Christ.

Thank you for your comment. I’ve no doubt you have heard the membership numbers presented as such; however, they are highly exaggerated; the number worldwide is closer to being between 6-8 million as stated by a couple of Adventist leaders I’ve heard in the last few years. The 1.2 million number also includes Canada and Mexico.

These Adventist leaders also acknowledged that in reality, only around 150 thousand attend weekly services and pay a tithe on a regular basis.

Though in this video personal experiences were being discussed, the facts and opinions presented in other videos are based on the official Seventh-day Adventist beliefs or publications. (ie. S.S. Quarterly and the 28 Fundamental Beliefs).

Christ is our permanent Advocate for when we sin, not if. Ellen White was wrong when she taught that there would be a time that people would stand before God without a mediator.

In practice, the Adventist organization does not base its beliefs on the Bible alone when actual Christian hermeneutics are used. Without Ellen G. White’s visions along with Hiram Edson’s cornfield vision trying to correct the group’s error on Christ coming back in 1844, there would not be a Seventh-day Adventist organization.

Think Twice! (Response to Adventist: Enter Sabbath Rest)

What is the purpose of your organization? Jealousy over not being given any office in the heavenly organization is what caused Lucifer to be thrown down to earth. Hahahahahaha! Tinker, think twice!

Response by online moderator Jim Liley:

The Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath School Lesson Quarterly is nothing more than an indoctrination tool to subtly infuse the membership with the SDA counterfeit pseudo-Christian organizations “Great Controversy World View” along with their unique way of reading, interpreting, and applying the Scriptures.

The whole point of these Former Adventist Fact Check videos is to show how the Seventh-day Adventist counterfeit pseudo-Christian organization reads, interprets, adds to (via the false “Great Controversy” extra-biblical worldview) and applies the Scriptures totally differently from Christians. What is evil is an organization that was founded on 100% error, with a false prophet promoting a false world view that came from the originator of sin. †
