The Former Adventist Summer Conference 2012 in St. Joseph, Michigan, is almost here! Convening at The Chapel at 4250 Washington Ave., St. Joseph, from July 27-29, 2012, the weekend will cost $40 ($50/couple) and will feature Pastors Phil Bubar and Corey Kugel, Richard and Colleen Tinker, Carolyn Macomber, and Ben and Delina McPhaull.
The opening meeting on Friday night will feature Phil Bubar speaking on "It's How You View the Blood" and will conclude with a Q and A panel with Phil Bubar, Colleen Tinker and Carolyn Macomber with Richard Tinker moderating.
Saturday will open with Corey Kugel speaking on the inerrancy of Scripture followed by Ben McPhaull teaching how to study the Bible. Colleen Tinker will present "Sabbath Revisited" just before lunch, and in the afternoon Phil Bubar will present a talk entitled "Worldview Alignment Needed". Two more talks by Colleen Tinker will precede supper: "The Great Controversy Examined" and "What's So Important About Our Spirit?"
The evening will conclude with testimonies and communion led by Phil Bubar.
All are invited to attend church on Sunday morning at The Chapel followed by a no-host lunch at a local restaurant.
Sunday evening launches a two-night seminar for the local Christians in the area; those who attended the Former Adventist conference are welcome to stay for these meetings as well.
Sunday evening will include Carolyn Macomber presenting the historical implications of Adventism. Ben McPhaull will explain the prophetic role of Ellen G. White within Adventism, followed by role-playing during which Phil Bubar and other presenters demonstrate the ways Adventists answer Christians when questioned about their beliefs. Colleen Tinker will give a synopsis of the Adventist worldview, and the meeting will conclude with a Q and A panel with Phil Bubar, Colleen Tinker, Carolyn Macomber, Ben McPhaull, and Richard Tinker moderating.
Monday evening will include Colleen Tinker explaining the significance of Sabbath within Adventism as well as the Adventist understanding of the human spirit. The evening will conclude with another Q and A panel with Phil Bubar, Colleen Tinker and Carolyn Macomber with Richard Tinker moderating.
